Friends of the Kyiv School of Economics

‘Friends of KSE’ is an association of KSE’s most generous supporters – all dedicated to fulfilling and enhancing the university’s mission to promote world-class economics education and research.

The Friends of KSE receive invitations to all KSE events, including the KSE Public Lectures and their contributions are acknowledged in all KSE promotional materials and the KSE web site. In addition, they receive each year, in February, the KSE yearbook with CVs of all KSE students & faculty, thus having first access to the KSE students, graduates and faculty members. The Friends of KSE also receive full access to the KSE Library and its comprehensive informational resources in economics, finance, and business.

There are several ways to become a ‘Friend of KSE’ member, each way offering different opportunities to support a specific goal.

If you are interested in providing access to education to students that are less well off or if you are interested in attracting future high quality employees, you can provide a Student Scholarship.

Student Scholarship (ˆ10,000 or ˆ20,000 a year)

If you are interested in supporting one year of the studies of a specific student, you can provide KSE with a One Year Student Scholarship. You can select the student from those students admitted to KSE.

Benefits

  • The selected student can be offered an internship or a part-time employment in your company, preparing a student for possible full time employment after graduation;
  • The scholarship can be named after the company.
A scholarship can be given for one year (ˆ10,000) or for the two years of studies (ˆ20,000).

If you are interested in providing students with knowledge on a specific topic, you can sponsor a specific course.

Course Sponsorship (ˆ30,000 a year)

Together with a KSE faculty member, you develop a course on a specific topic. This course will then be taught at KSE for at least 2 years.

Benefits

  • Students are trained in a subject that is of interest to you or your company;
  • A number of your employees can follow a course which has been developed together with you.

If you are interested in supporting teaching and research on a specific topic, you can support a Professorship.

Professorship (ˆ50,000 a year)

Together with the KSE administration, you can select a professor who will teach a course and do research on a field selected by you or your company:

  • Students are trained in a subject that is of interest to you or your company;
  • A number of your employees can follow a course which has been developed together with you;
  • You have first hand access to the latest information in a field of your interest and direct access to an expert on issues that are important to you;
  • The Professorship can be named after the company.

If you are interested in helping to set out the long term strategy and mission of KSE, you can become a member of the board.

KSE board membership (ˆ100,000 a year)

Membership to the Board of Directors allows you to take part in KSE’s strategic development. The Board of Directors is a select group of long term supporters of the KSE who believe in the idea of building a world class university in Ukraine and are committed to help KSE achieving this goal.
