    KSE student internship program
Every summer KSE students have a possibility to apply their knowledge of modern economics and finance in “real life” situations working as interns in various companies and international institutions.

We invite your company to consider the possibility to take KSE students for a summer internship. Our students have the following skills:
    • Western-standard training in economic and financial modelling and analysis, which can be applied in business, finance, consulting, market research, industry, and in policy-making environments.
    • Excellent knowledge of English, mathematics/statistics and modern economics
    • Strong ability to work under time pressure, process large quantities of new information and obtain new skills in a short time
    • A modern worldview.

During the internship period (July-August) students can work on a full time basis.

If you are interested in hosting our students as interns this summer please send us your request at info@kse.org.ua. In your request please indicate the number of students that you are interested in, their required qualifications and a short description of the work you are expecting students to do during their internship.

    Upcoming KSE graduates
In June 2008 EERC/KSE is graduating its 11th class of students who are now ready to work as economists and analysts in international banks, consulting, investment, and audit firms, government agencies, research organizations and policymaking institutions. All of them are professionals that have unique skills in economic modelling and analysis.

If you are interested in hiring KSE graduates we would be happy to provide you with a book of student resumes. The resumes are also available on-line at:

    KSE Public Lectures

The goal of these events is to enlarge the debates on the topics most relevant for Ukraine.

Dr. Muhammad Yunus, 2006 Nobel Prize Winner for Peace. “Fighting Poverty”

    KSE Master Classes
The goal of the KSE Master Classes is to spread modern economic knowledge throughout the society. The attendees are policy-makers, business analysts, academicians, and students. The following Master Classes have recently been organized:

    • KSE Master Class on “Understanding International Energy Markets” held on March 12, 14, 19, and 21. The course was funded by TNK-BP in Ukraine.
    • KSE Master Class on “Program and Policy Evaluation” held on April 21-25. The course was funded by the Global Development Network (GDN).

KSE cooperation with foreign universities and institutions
The Kyiv School of Economics has an agreement with the University of Houston (USA) that allows KSE students to obtain, while studying at KSE, a Master's degree of the University of Houston. Courses taken to receive the KSE certificate can simultaneously lead to a MA degree in Economics of the University of Houston, if the students meet the academic and administrative requirements of the University of Houston. Up to 3 students can, after the first year, be invited by the University of Houston to start their Ph.D. degree in Houston.

KSE has launched a cooperation program with CERGE-EI, a Western-style doctoral program in Prague (www.cerge-ei.cz). KSE has coordinated its course content with this program, giving a possibility to graduates of the KSE M.A. Program to start immediately in the second year of the doctoral program of CERGE-EI. Moreover, CERGE-EI allows the KSE students, after they finish the second year of Ph.D. studies, to return to Ukraine to finish their doctoral research at the Kyiv School of Economics.

Every year, a group of KSE students visit the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) of the Stockholm School of Economics with one week internship tour. During the tour students have an excellent opportunity to investigate the PhD program at the Stockholm School of Economics, to meet with the economic faculty and SITE researchers, and to participate in the school’s activities. This fall a group of the best KSE students will visit the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI).

The Kyiv School of Economics, Kyiv Economics Institute (KEI), and Telenor (Norway) have recently established a new project – a PhD Scholarship in Network Economics at the Norwegian School of Management BI, funded by Telenor.
