KSE Olympiad in Economics and Finance
The Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) and the AIESEC regional representative offices invite students to participate in the Olympiad in Economics and Finance.

KSE Open Academic Lecture with Dr. Pekka Sutela, Principal Adviser, Bank of Finland, on “Europe after the Crisis”
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the KSE Open Academic Lecture with Dr. Pekka Sutela, Principal Adviser of the Bank of Finland. Dr. Sutela will lecture on “Europe after the Crisis”.
The event will take place on October 4 in Kyiv Teachers House ("Budynok vchytelya"), Volodymyrska, 57, 6 p.m. The open lecture will be followed by a reception. The event is supported by the Finnish Embassy to Ukraine.

2010-11 KSE Alumni Scholarship
Dear KSE graduates,
The year 2010 is an exciting year for the Kyiv School of Economics! A lot of events already happened and will happen this year:
1. Twenty students have graduated from the KSE this year and 55 new students have recently been admitted, bringing the total number of our current students to 78 (55 first-year and 23 second year students).
2. 77 students applied this year, which is substantially more than last year.

Dear KSE community,
We are glad to inform you that our traditional Shashlyk party will take place on Saturday, September 11. Current KSE students as well as KSE graduates are welcome to participate in this informal event, which allows us to stay in touch with professors and alumni and to have a lot of fun!

2010 Global Development Awards and Medals Competition: call for applications (new deadlines)
The Global Development Network (GDN) invites researchers and organizations from developing and transition countries to submit research proposals, completed research papers and proposals for scaling-up development projects.

KSE Professors Presented Their Research in the Congress of the European Regional Science Association (Photo)
On August 19-22 KSE Academic Director Denys Nizalov and Assistant Professor Volodymyr Vakhitov took part in 50th congress of the European Regional Science Association. Dr. Nizalov presented his paper "The Effect of Municipal Strategic Planning on Urban Growth in Ukraine", whereas Dr. Vakhitov presented "Are There Urbanization Economies in a Post-Socialist City?"

KSE Opening of the New Academic Year
The official opening of the new academic year 2010-2011 will take place on Friday, August 27, at 6 p.m. KSE administration and faculty will welcome new students and wish them success in their studies. There will be a reception after the event.
